ROOPKUND TREK
Roop Kund becomes famous when large number of Human bones was reported. After that explorers and scientists have tried to explain the mystery but it helped in deepening the mystery rather solving it. Two theories have emerged and one is that these bones are of Gen. Zorawar Singh of Kashmir and his men who were coming back after raiding China-Tibet in 17th Century. Second opinion, which is also believed by locals, is that large numbers of people visiting hemkund were trapped in avalanches and snowstorms and got killed. Not even a single man survived to tell the true story.
 
 



Situated at a height of 5029 mts in the lap of Trishul massif, Roop Kund Lake is situated at eastern part of Chamoli district of Garhwal in Uttarakhand, This area is usually called the 'Mystery Lake', since human skeletons and remains of horses from the age of paleolithic age were found here. The lake is surrounded by rock-strewn glaciers and snow clad peaks. The starting point of the trek is Debal.

The route passes through lush green grassy land and conifer forests clinging onto the slopes of hills. The trek thereafter winds it's way along the Pinder river. Then to round off this trek, one can approach Hemkund via Shail Samudra glacier and then move on to Ghat or Nandprayag (in Chamoli district in the Garhwal region). For the round trek, services of a guide are advisable. Famous Bedni Bugyal (meadow), on the way to Roopkund, attracts nature lovers around the world. The attractions of the treks are bhagwawasa and bedni bugyal. You will found a lot of "Bramhakamal" at trekking routes. The best time for trekking in roopkund trek is August to October."

HAR KI DUN TREK
Har-Ki-Doon, the hanging valley of gods is a treat for trekkers. This moderate trek takes you to one of the least explored regions of Garhwal. The trek from Osla to Har-ki-doon is through terraced mountain fields, lush green grassy land and conifer forests. Har-ki-Doon, situated at an elevation of 3566 meters is surrounded by glittering peaks and dense forests. The forests are rich in wild life and are a veritable paradise for bird-watchers and nature lovers.

VALLEY OF FLOWER TREK
Valley of Flowers – the paradise for nature lovers, situated at an altitude of eleven thousand feet in the lap of garhwal Himalayas. Frank Smyth, a mountaineer explorer in 1930, discovered Valley of Flowers. This U shaped alpine valley, formed by retreating glaciers, remains snow covered from November to May. When the snow melts in june, the entire valley blooms with exotic flowers, herbs, medicinal, and flowering plant At an altitude ranging from 3,350 m to the peak of Gauri Parbat at 6,719 m, the valley of flowers is essentially the catchments area of pashupati river, also known as the Bhyundar Ganga. It consists of glacier corridor, 7 km long and 2 km from wide, with it’s source in the tipra glacier with descends from Gauri Parbat.
 
 


KAURI PASS TREK
The trek over the Kuari Pass was the route followed by Shipton and Tilman on their way to the Rishi Gorge and by other mountaineers en route to the peaks on the Indo-Tibetan border. It is also called the Curzon Trail, as the famous former Viceroy of India also travelled this route. The trail was named after Lord Curzon who was a keen trekker and it is said that the path was specially improved so that he could do the trek. The crossing of the pass is a fitting conclusion to a trek that takes in three lesser passes and five major rivers - the Pindar, Kaliganga, Mandakini, Bheriganga and the Dhauliganga.

Lord Kurzon made the trek to Kuari pass , and since then it has come to be known as Curzon's trail. It is very popular among European and American Travelers. In 1905 Lord Curzon reached Kuari pass from Ghat via Ramni. Today many trekkers prefer to undertake the trek in the reverse direction. The main attraction of Curzon's trails is the majestic view of the twin peaks of Nanda Devi , Kamet , Dronagiri and Hathi-Ghodi Parvat. The Pass (Khal) is approached through a narrow goat track at an elevation of 4265 mts. Standing at the Kwari-Pass facing north, the vision sweeps from the gorges of Trishul in the east to the peaks of Kedarnath in the west - the Kedarnath, Chaukhamba, Nilkhantha, Kamet, Gauri Parbat, Hathi Parbat, Nandadevi, Bethartoli, Dunagiri, etc. all arranged in a fantastic arc- southwards the foothills stretch wave upon on to dim haze of the distant plains one of the most interesting trek in the Garhwal area.The trek passes through forests of oak and conifer, bamboo and birch, teeming with a variety of animals and birds life. A trekker might even be lucky enough to come across leopard pugmarks or a Himalayan black bear on this trail. Lord Curzon went up to the Kwari-pass in 1905 and hence the trek is named after him as "Corzon Trail".
